King David had prepared for this day when the Ark of the Covenant would return to its rightful place. This verse is part of a longer passage giving thanks to God.
Reflection
The Lord is our source and focus of gratitude.
All that is good is an extension of the goodness of God. He is our motivation for being thankful.
Life isn’t always good. God is.
Relationships are sometimes difficult. God is always with us.
Circumstances can be challenging. God guides us through them.
Love in people can be surprisingly fleeting. God’s love endures forever.
Encouragement
Refocus our outlook by keeping our full attention on God.
See his goodness. Experience his love. Take it in.
Let God give you a fresh perspective on your life today.
Give him thanks!

Dear Jesus,
I needed these words today. Seeing you as the focal point and source of my gratitude changes my outlook on life.
